2011 Pinarello Graal Carbon 60HM1K Monocoque - Sky 531

Valuable experience gained with the DOGMA coupled with the grand tradition Pinarello bicycle time trial, and the new Pinarello construction techniques SOE Lab System (Simulation Optimize Evolution) contributed to the design of new forms and advanced technology used in exceptional project. Compared with its predecessor, FM1, Graal has completely new geometry, steep seat tube angle and vertical seat post.

Parts of the new tube was made with a computer, including waves in the tube bottom, designed to minimize weight and maximize performance. Front brake located behind the fork, to further improve aerodynamic coeffificient. Graal is available in two versions: one designed for Shimano Di2 specififically fully electronic shift with the cable run within the framework and the batteries perfectly integrated into the rear chainstay. The second version, for the mechanical drive train, also has an internal cable housing but there is no battery so that the chainstays are thinner.

To complete this project, Pinarello created a perfect blend with the handlebar frame and form a single body with it. Anura Stang has an internal section for both electronic and mechanical cable to achieve net shape and aerodynamics. Width 410 mm C / C and handlebar clutch equals 120 mm, 105 mm, 90 mm. Interchangeable extensions (various width and angle of tilt), adjustable height and length. Adjustable bearings. Anura Graal and handlebar frame made of carbon with Torayca 60HM fifibre 1K Nanoalloy fifinish and technology. Graal frame available in 6 sizes.

Lungavita is a bicycle that Giovanni Pinarello was very keen on making. This model includes a tribute to the first colour schemes of the Pinarello cycles of 1951, in the colours that were in fashion at the time. The frame is made of 6061 T6 aluminium and strictly in a Single Speed version with the rims painted white – a rarity in this sector. Lungavita is the ideal bicycle for the world capitals where this kind of frame is much appreciated for its lightness and versatility. From New York to Tokyo a new generation of cyclists is discovering the taste of Pinarellostyle retro.

The rugged terrain and the often bad weather require a strong and sturdy vehicle that cyclists can always count on. The bike must withstand all kinds of stresses but should also be light enough to be easily shouldered and then once again pounced upon and ready to pedal away. The FCX Cross Carbon is a light but sturdy frame, responsive in quick, tricky sections and precise in the more ridable stretches. Full-carbon 30HM12K monocoque frame, available in 2 hand-painted colours, Red and Blue, in 6 sizes including a Sloping version.

The Pista frame is in our DNA, because it is the extreme synthesis of speed combined with extreme agility. In this case lightness is of the essence, but so is responsiveness and strength because the forces applied come from the most powerful muscles in cycling – the Pit Start. We have always given great attention to this discipline where pure power is expressed at the highest levels. The frame is bare, and no part of the cyclists’ enormous effort is dispersed. XTRACK is our full-carbon monocoque frame designed for the Madison and Sprint specialties. In the triangle the seat tube is shaped to follow the wheel, the rear is derived from the Onda, the stays are ample and the fork is oversized. Available with 2 different carbon finishes, 3K or 12K.

The FM1 is the ultimate expression of the time trial frame according to Pinarello. The body resembles the MONTELLO but is made with our special Torayca ® 50HM1K carbon. By employing this highly exclusive fi bre (having a strength of 50 tons per square millimetre) we can use less material without reducing performance and resistance, achieving a fi nal weight of merely 1150 grams. The frame shows a superlative performance, with an impressive rigidity and excellent manoeuvrability even on the toughest curves. The frame is available in 6 different sizes with 2 different seat angles: 74.5 on the Crono version and 76.5 on the Triathlon.

The FP3 has been Pinarello’s success story for 2009.
Built and designed using Pinarello LAB’s SOE System (Simulation, Optimize, Evolution), the FP3 has a slightly less powerful appearance than the Prince but preserves the compact shape and harmonious lines of its highly successful predecessor. The FP3 mounts the new Onda FPK fork, derived from the FPX used on the Prince, with 1 1/8” to 1 1/4” coning on the fork head. The monocoque frame is made of 30HM12K carbon, with ONDA FPK rear monostay, asymmetric rear forks (a feature unique to Prince) and our well-tested oversize MOst Croxover bottom bracket. Size 54 weighs only 1100 grams. The FP3 is available only as a complete bicycle. Special attention was given to the colour scheme, with 5 new hand-painted colours and exclusive components, such as the new white or red MOst C3 cranksets and MOst brakes with white or red calipers, carbon seat post and stem with 3K fi nish. The FP3 is available in 14 sizes: 10 sizes for men and 4 special angle versions for the ladies.

FP7 is another great new model for 2009 from Pinarello.
The expected success of the FP3 and the many requests received to try a carbon version and different components led to the development in late 2008 of the FP7 46HM3K. The main difference from the previous version is in the material: 46HM3K, a high-performance fibre that makes the best of th FP3’s extraordinarily successful geometry. Built and designed using Pinarello LAB’s SOE System (Simulation, Optimize, Evolution), the FP7 is compact and harmoniously shaped. The FP7 mounts the new Onda FPK fork, derived from the FPX used on the Prince, with 1 1/8” to 1 1/4” coning on the fork head. ONDA FPK rear monostay, asymmetric rear forks, and our well-tested oversize MOst Croxover bottom bracket. The bare 54 size frame weighs approximately 1050 grams. The FP7 is available as a complete bicycle or frame only. Special attention was given to the colour scheme, with 4 hand-painted colours and exclusive components, such as the new MOst brakes with red or white calipers, carbon seat post and stem with 3K fi nish and the new, compact MOst C7 Carbon crankset. The FP7 is available in 14 sizes: 10 sizes for men and 4 special angle versions for the ladies.

Here is the finest racing bicycle in the world
That statement may sound presumptuous, but it’s based on the number of awards received in only two years’ time: Best Racing Bicycle in the World (Bicycling USA) for two consecutive years, 2008 and 2009, Bike of the Year (Ciclismo ITA) for two consecutive years, 2008 and 2009 – awards that no other bicycle had received before.

The features of Prince are best summarized in the enthusiastic comments received from a happy Prince owner: Unbelievable!
Prince gives you completely new emotions that literally infl ame demanding cyclists: incredibly easy to handle when entering high speed curves, absolutely explosive on violent accelerations on straight stretches or coming out of a curve, and when you stand on the pedals the bicycle feels like a motorbike, gripping the road with all the power of your legs. The 2010 Prince is equipped with the new Shimano Di2 electric groupset, in the version called Prince+. A 54 size Prince complete with Charisma wheels and MOst accessories weighs approximately 6700 grams, while the frame alone of the same size weighs about 900 grams. Personalized colour schemes can be chosen directly on our website (pinarello.com) using the MyWay function.

DOGMA 60.1 is Pinarello’s great new idea for 2010 – the beginning of a new generation of frames that will revolutionize the concept of racing bicycles. DOGMA 60.1 is the fi rst completely asymmetric racing frame. The parts on the right side have different shapes and sections than the parts on the left. This is a true innovation in the cycling world and the point of no return for fans of extreme performance. The technical aspects are explained in the introduction to this catalogue. The frame was developed starting from the highly successful Prince, Best Racing Bike of the World (USA) for 2008 and 2009 and Bike of the Year in Italy for 2008 and 2009. The fork, the rear and the basic shapes are derived from this very fortunate frame but with the application of new, incredible technologies: the completely asymmetric design, the EPS Wrinkle Free System construction process and the material used – the exclusive 60HM1K carbon by Torayca® with Nanoalloy™ that prevents sudden breakage. Last but not least is the exclusive Diamond finish, the worthy topping to an extraordinary project called Dogma 60.1.

Dogma 60.1 can be completely personalized and is available in 10 sizes. The colours can be chosen directly on our website using the MyWay function.
